A place for trips to live once you have planned them. You plan somewhere else, usually in ChatGPT or Claude, then send the trip to Koko and it becomes real: every place found on a map, with a photo, a rating, opening hours, and the neighborhood it is in.

From there you can share it with the people coming with you, open any stop in Google Maps, and send edits back from the assistant whenever the plan changes. You can also start a list here by pasting a video, and a trip plan stays optional: turn a list into a day-by-day plan only when you actually need one.

Connect Koko once from the assistant, sign in to your Koko account, and grant access. After that you just say “send this to Koko” at the end of the planning and the trip is created in your account.

Editing works the same way in reverse: ask the assistant to move a day around or swap a place, and it updates the trip you already have. The link stays the same, so anyone you shared it with sees the new version.

Public posts from Instagram, TikTok, YouTube (including Shorts) and Threads, plus Google Maps lists.

The post has to be public. Koko never signs in to those platforms as you, so private accounts, stories, and anything behind a login are out of reach.

Koko reads the text around a video: what is written on screen, the caption, the top comments, and subtitles when the platform has them. That text goes to Claude, which picks out the place names and the order they appear in. Then each name is geocoded against Google Maps to get a real location, rating, hours, and a photo.

Claude never sees the video or the frames, only the text pulled out of them.

That case is covered. If a video has nothing useful on screen, in the caption, or in a subtitle track, Koko transcribes the audio on our own server and tries again with what was said.

It is a fallback, not the default: it only runs when the first pass finds nothing.

No. It runs in the background, so you can close the app or paste another link while it works. Turn on notifications and Koko will tell you the moment your list is ready.

Busy moments queue rather than fail. If the server is genuinely full, you will get a "server is busy" message instead of a half-built list.

Yes, everything is editable. Drag stops to reorder, swipe to remove, add a place by hand, or swap one stop for another. Automatic extraction is a starting point, not a verdict.

Place details — hours, ratings, addresses — come from third parties and can be out of date. Check anything that matters before you travel for it.

A list is just places: sortable, mappable, searchable, no dates. That is where most things should live, including the spots in the city you already live in.

A plan takes a list and lays it across days, in an order that makes geographic sense, with travel time between stops. You can move stops between days and re-solve.

Walking, driving, and cycling times are estimated everywhere. Train and subway routing is Tokyo only for now — outside Tokyo, a leg falls back to walking time rather than inventing a train.

They are estimates for sequencing your day, not timetables. Check the real one before you run for a train.

Yes. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no card on file. We do not collect payment or billing information at all.

To keep it that way there are limits on standard accounts: 10 link imports per calendar month (the counter resets on the 1st), keeping the first 10 places from each video and the first 50 from each Google Maps list. A failed import does not spend one. Full detail is in the Terms, section 3.

On the web you can look around as a guest without signing up, but saving or changing anything needs an account. In the app, you sign in first.

Sign-in is an emailed 6-digit code, Google, or Apple. Nothing is posted anywhere on your behalf.

Yes. Lists and plans are private by default. Sharing is something you switch on: create a share link and anyone with it can view what you shared, until you turn it off.

You can also publish a list to Discover, the public shelf inside Koko. That one is deliberate and obvious — nothing lands there because you saved it.

The app and the site are translated into 12 languages: English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish (Spain and Latin America), French, Filipino, Thai, Vietnamese, and Malay.

Koko is built Japan-first, so Japanese place names and addresses get particular care.

Yes. Koko connects to AI assistants as an app or connector: you sign in to your Koko account, grant access, and the assistant can create and edit lists and plans in your account, on your behalf.

We only ever see the requests it makes for you. Your conversation with the assistant stays with that assistant's provider. Disconnect from the assistant's settings and its access is revoked.

The video file is downloaded only long enough to sample frames and read the text on them, then it is deleted from our servers. What we keep is the list you got out of it.

We are not archiving anyone's videos, and we do not re-publish them.

Connections are HTTPS, passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and there is one essential cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We do not sell your personal information.

The honest part: Koko is a small independent project, not an encrypted vault. Text extracted from your links is processed by Anthropic (Claude), and place names go to Google Maps to be located. The full picture is in the Privacy Policy.

In the app: Profile → the gear → the ⋯ menu → Delete account. It asks twice, then deletes immediately.
